Poulton Hill Estate
Part of an exciting movement of English winemakers, Poulton Hill Estate was founded in 2010 and is situated in the idyllic Cotswold countryside, near the Roman town of Cirencester and Regency spa town of Cheltenham. There, 8,800 vines have been planted on the warm and sunny south-facing slopes of Poulton Hill Estate. Environmental awareness is a responsibility they take seriously, from the sheep that graze the orchard to the wildflowers they plant to help their insect population.
They are home to two flocks or rare-breed sheep, Jacob’s Sheep and Olde English Babydoll Southdown Sheep, perfect for keeping the area around the vines tidy without nibbling the grapes – and they fertilize the soil as they graze.
